The release of the Play Station 3 is probably the most anticipated event for video game lovers in 2006. The Playstation 3 is backwards compatible, which means you can play Playstation 1 and 2 games in it. However, there's a great new crop of Play Station 3 games that you certainly don't want to miss!

Racing game enthusiasts will love Ridge Racer 7. This awesome racing game, like all of the new PS3 games, can be played online as well as on your television. Choose from a fantastic variety of cars, race tracks, and customization options. There are single-player and multi-player options for one or more players to enjoy. For those that enjoy military themed games, Killzone won't disappoint. This game offers not only great looks, but the ability for players to interact with one another like never before. You'll have the ability to command a variety of vehicles on land, sea and in the air as well. Project Delta is another to-be-announced upcoming military game for the PS3. This game is a bit futuristic in nature, because it is based around a soldier who finds himself in the middle of an alien attack. You'll need smarts and strategy to lead your troops and beat the alien invaders!

Because many of these games haven't been released yet, you might need to wait a little while before you can buy them.
