Playstation 3
The Sony Play Station has always been a popular choice for gamers everywhere. The newest addition to the Play Station family is the Sony Play Station 3, a video game system that is eagerly anticipated by video game lovers everywhere. This system hits stores in Japan on November 11, 2006. In North America, the Playstation 3 arrives on November 17, 2006. Europe and Australia will have to wait until March 2007 to get their hands on one of these systems! The buzz regarding this game system has already reached a fever pitch. Consumers are anxiously awaiting their chance to grab up one or more of these video game systems for themselves or for holiday gift giving. So what's so great about the PS 3?
At first glance, you'll see that this system is compact, sleek and black. There are two different configurations that will be available -- a 20GB and a 60GB. Although the two configurations operate in much the same way, there are a few differences. The 20GB configuration does not come with Wi-Fi built in or a memory card included, while the 60GB configuration includes both of these things. Both of these configurations will be compatible with wireless controllers in addition to the traditional wired controllers.
Not only will you be able to play PS 3 games, this system has total backwards compatibility. This means that you can also play PlayStation 1 and 2 games as well! There are a staggering number of games that can be played. Whether you like racing games, fighting games, games for kids or other types of games, you can find what you're looking for offered from Sony. You can even play the games for this system online, and will receive everything you need to do so with your purchase of the PS 3. The basic online package will be free, although there will be upgrades available for a fee.
Games aren't all that can be played on the amazing PS 3. This system has the capability to play DVD movies and audio CDs as well. You're probably wondering how much all this fantastic technology will cost you. For the 20GB configuration, the price will be $499. For the more advanced 60GB configuration, the price is $599. With the more expensive model, you get not only all the features of the less expensive system, but extras like Memory Stick, SD and Compact Flash slots, Wi-Fi and a larger hard disk drive. Regardless of which configuration you choose, you're sure to love the Sony Play Station 3!
